CT E&T's parent company, O&G, performed the construction management and design-build work on a co-generation/chilled water facility at UCONN's Storrs campus. This addition to the central utility plant uses a combustion gas turbine to generate 6,300 tons of chilled water and 22 MW of electrical power. The electricity and steam generated from this new facility is sufficient to meet the current and future requirements of the University and will enable the campus to become self-sufficient for all electrical and thermal needs.
